アメリカ英語での「the」の発音は、次の単語が子音で始まる場合は「thuh」と発音し、次の単語が母音で始まる場合は「thee」と発音する、ということです。
また、重要なフレーズや、はっきりと理解されるように大きな声で話すときなど、文中で強調したいときはいつでも「thee」という発音を使うことができます。 このような状況では、子音で始まる単語の前に来る場合でも、「thee」という発音を使うことができます。
